This past weekend - eyyy. ⏰

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. πŸ€”οΈ But yeah, no, I just wanted to impress the team. 😸️

I looked up employees on LinkedIn who worked at Slack in the Bay Area with the keywords "Front End" or "Frontend" in their job title. πŸ’ΌοΈ With this super simple method, I only got 25 results which seems pretty inaccurate, but hey, it's something! πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈοΈ

There is a great gender balance with 56% male and 44% female which is unfortunately rare to find in tech companies.

College Major

I categorized each major into a specific field, and the results prove you don't have to major in CS (only 20% did) to be a great engineer!

On average, someone has six years of experience as a software engineer or developer with 151 years of experience in total.

Personal Website

The majority (76%) have a website, portfolio or blog of some sort with only 24% not having one.

GitHub Contributions

As of April 2018, GitHub yearly activity is low since everyone is too busy creating one of the best team platforms in the world!

Hosting Provider

GitHub Pages wins with three people using it to host their websites while platforms used only once got excluded.

Data Used

For reference, this is the Airtable I used to store all the data I collected.

I used to dislike tables a lot, but Airtable's UI changed my perspective, and now I use them all the time. 😊
